The release postponement of Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ has paved the way for the release of another Kannada movie named ‘Love Mocktail 3’‘Toxic’ was initially set to hit theatres on March 19 and was expected to clash with another major title, Dhurandhar 2. Many Kannada producers avoided releasing their films around the same date as the anticipation for Geethu Mohandas’s directorial is sky high. However, once Toxic vacated the date, ‘Love Mocktail 3’ immediately filled the gap. The Darling Krishna starrer, originally slated for April 10, will now release on March 19.
‘Toxic’ team confirms postponement to June 4
On Wednesday, the makers officially announced that Yash’s much-anticipated film would release on June 4, 2026, instead of the March 19 slot.Yash captioned the announcement: “Toxic : A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups – in Cinemas Worldwide on 4 June 2026.”The statement read, “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is a film we conceptualised with the vision to create cinema for a global audience. Filmed in Kannada and English, it is built with the conviction to connect with viewers both at home and across the world. After years of dedicated labour, we were excited to share our film with you all on the 19th of March.”Explaining the decision further, the team added, “However, the current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach and connect with the widest possible audience. Therefore, in the interest of our partners and our audience, we have made the difficult but carefully considered decision to reschedule our release.”
‘Love Mocktail 3’ steps in
With Toxic exiting the slot, Love Mocktail 3 moved swiftly to secure the March 19 release date. The film now aims to draw in the festival audiences of Ugadi and Eid ul-Fitr which is a period that usually provides a significant boost to ticket sales.The romantic franchise holds strong goodwill from audiences. Both ‘Love Mocktail’ and ‘Love Mocktail 2’ enjoyed warm reception. Darling Krishna returns once again as both lead actor and director and it continues the emotional narrative that fans have followed since the first film. This installment shifts focus to a tender father–daughter storyline.Krishna stars alongside child artist Samvrutha, whose character forms the heart of the narrative. The first motion poster is set to a soulful track titled “Neene Neena Nanella Aase”, composed and sung by Nakul Abhyankar. The lyrics are written by director Shashank. The heartwarming film also features Milana Nagaraj in a pivotal role.
