Directed by Aditya Dhar, the high-stakes espionage thriller starring Ranveer Singh has entered its tenth day, Saturday, March 28, 2026 with record-breaking momentum. After becoming the fastest Indian film to hit the Rs. 1,000 crore global mark in just seven days, the film is now on track to become the highest-grossing Indian movie of all time. With a massive jump expected over the second weekend, trade experts predict the film will cross the Rs. 800 crore mark by Sunday, posing a direct threat to the lifetime record of the first ‘Dhurandhar’ which is Rs. 894.49 crore.

The espionage thriller, ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge,’ directed by Aditya Dhar enters day 10 of its theatrical run on Saturday, March 28, 2026 as the numbers continue to rewrite Indian box office history. With a net domestic collection of Rs. 715.72 crore after nine days, including a haul of Rs. 41.55 crore, the Ranveer Singh starrer is heading into the most critical Saturday of its run. The second weekend is where blockbusters either consolidate their legacy or reveal their ceiling, and every early signal suggests ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is positioned to do the former. The film is now firmly targeting the Rs. 800 crore net milestone by the end of its second weekend, threatening the lifetime record of the 2025-released ‘Dhurandhar’ which was Rs. 894.49 crore.As the film enters its second Saturday, all eyes are on whether it can surpass the day 10 records set by previous Indian blockbusters. According to Sacnilk, legendary earners like ‘Jawan’ with its Rs. 31.80 crore, ‘Pathaan’ with its Rs. 14 crore and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ with its Rs. 34.15 crore saw varying holds on their tenth day. However, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is currently eyeing a day 10 collection in the range of Rs. 55–60 crore, which would place it in a league of its own.

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ first week projections

The first week of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ was nothing short of historic. The film benefited from a massive day 0 advance of Rs. 43 crore, followed by a thunderous opening day of Rs. 102 crore. The momentum stayed rock-solid through the extended opening weekend, peaking on day 4 with a staggering Rs. 114.85 crore. By the end of its first seven days, the film had accumulated a total of Rs. 624.47 crore. Despite a runtime that exceeds three and a half hours, the film maintained high occupancy rates in both single screens and multiplexes.The weekday hold was equally historic as day 5, Monday delivered Rs. 65 crore, day 6, Tuesday yielded Rs. 56.55 crore and and Day 7, Wednesday Rs. 48.75 crore, which according to Sacnilk, surpassed the first-week Hindi benchmarks of ‘Jawan’ with its Rs. 327.88 crore and ‘Pathaan’ with its Rs. 318.5 crore by over 60 percent. The first week closed at Rs. 623.42 crore India net, the biggest opening week in the history of single-language Indian cinema, surpassing ‘Pushpa 2’s Hindi net first-week record of Rs. 425 crore by a substantial margin. The worldwide gross at the end of Week 1 stood at Rs. 1,006.50 crore, making ‘Dhurandhar 2’ the joint-fastest Indian film ever, alongside ‘Pushpa 2’ to cross the Rs. 1,000 crore global mark, achieving it in just 7 days.Following an momentous first week, the film experienced a natural stabilization during the start of its second week. On day 8, the film earned Rs 49.70 crore, showing incredible resilience for a working day. Day 9 saw a dip with Rs 41.55 crore net in India. The film is expected to hit an upward trajectory on day 10 and day 11, with family audiences expected to flock to the theaters in record numbers.
