On the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered a glimpse into India’s rich spiritual heritage by sharing images of the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth. The PM shared some beautiful images on his official X (formerly Twitter) profile of the insides of the museum celebrating the 2,000 years old Jain legacy. The post quickly drew attention worldwide. “On the occasion of Bhagwan Mahavir Janma Kalyanak Diwas tomorrow, 31st March, the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth will be inaugurated. The seven wings of this museum are dedicated to India’s glorious history and culture. Numerous rare relics, Jain artefacts and traditional heritage collections are also on display. It also showcases the exemplary Jain culture and the contribution of Jainism to humankind.”The images shared on the profile show the architectural beauty of the place.

Koba Tirth is situated near Gandhinagar in Gujarat. The Samrat Samprati Museum is a landmark which is dedicated to preserving Jain philosophy. The museum is named after Samrat Samprati, who is a legendary patron of Jainism. The museum is divided into seven wings, each dedicated to India’s glorious history and culture. These galleries showcase the diversity of Indian traditions, with a special focus on Jain heritage. The museum has a stunning collection of rare relics and artefacts reflecting the beauty of Jain culture. The pictures of the museum shared by the PM continue to circulate.
