The legendary artist passed away on Sunday, April 12, at Breach Candy Hospital. The news of her demise was confirmed by her son, as he spoke to the media outside the hospital. Her mortal remains were brought home on Sunday, where several celebrities and political personalities came to pay their respects. Her last rites will be performed at 4 at Shivaji Park with state honours.
