Several videos from the sold-out show have gone viral on the internet. Remembering the Indian music icon, Ghoshal expressed that she was a guru for her.

In one of the videos, Shreya Ghoshal can be heard saying, “We love you, Asha Tai. You are gonna be eternal in our hearts through music, right? Let’s sing it.” And then she started singing the ‘Do Lafzon Ki Yeh Dil Ki Kahani’ song, originally crooned by Asha Bhosle, from the film ‘The Great Gambler’, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman. Shreya Ghoshal also performed the songs like ‘Abhi Na Jao Chod Kar’ and ‘Dum Maro Dum’ as a tribute to Asha Bhosle during the event. Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92 at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital due to multiple organ failure on April 12, 2026. Her son, Anand Bhosle, requested everyone to pay their last respects to the late legend at her residence in Lower Parel’s Casa Grande building from 10:30 am onwards today, April 13, 2026. The funeral will take place at Dadar’s Shivaji Park at 4 pm. She will be laid to rest with full state honors.
