I think Aditya’s language of cinema, the way his craft is, it’s phenomenal. I have never seen a spy film like this in my whole life, coming out of India. The way he has portrayed it and Ranveer in it was brilliant, absolutely brilliant. We both really enjoyed it. I think his passion, storytelling, his use of music, everything, there was so much to learn from it. Very new kind of filmmaking,” he said. The Dhar directorial ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ have both emerged as major box office successes. While the first film crossed the Rs 1,300 crore mark, the second part hit an impressive Rs 1,700 crore and is still working its magic at the box office.

Rao also shared his thoughts during an AMA session on Reddit, where he shared that Ranveer’s character of Hamza in the film was his favourite. “I loved Dhurandhar. For me, the best character was, of course, Hamza and Ranveer played him so well. I messaged him, and we spoke over the phone for a long time after I watched Part 1, Because whenever I get inspired by a performance, I make sure to call the actor and tell them how much they’ve moved me with their work. And Ranveer did that with ‘Dhurandhar’ and No. I can’t choose any role that I would say I could have done better, Because all the actors in the film were just phenomenal,” he added.
