Punjab Kings batters Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly added a 182-run stand against Lucknow Super Giants, registering one of the highest partnerships for the franchise in IPL history.This is the third 150-plus stand for Punjab Kings in the tournament. The highest remains the 206-run partnership between Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2011. It is followed by the 183-run stand between KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal against Rajasthan Royals in 2020.The 182-run partnership by Arya and Connolly in 2026 is also among the fastest 100-plus stands for the team, with a run rate of 13.65. The fastest remains the 130-run stand between David Miller and R Sathish at a run rate of 15.91 in 2013. Punjab Kings lost Prabhsimran Singh early, but Arya and Connolly added 182 runs for the second wicket.Later, Marcus Stoinis scored 29 not out off 16 balls, with two fours and two sixes, while Shashank Singh made 17 not out off six balls, with one four and one six, to take Punjab Kings to 254 for seven. Lucknow Super Giants picked up wickets in the final overs.
