After his recent Instagram reels sparked mixed reactions online, Rahul Roy has now broken his silence. The actor, who had been trending after collaborating with an Instagram user on videos recreating his iconic songs from Aashiqui, has responded to the buzz surrounding the clips.Reacting to the chatter, Rahul downplayed the scale of the reaction, while also admitting that the videos weren’t entirely his choice.He told Hindustan Times, “Viral toh nahi hua… but compulsion ho gaya tha. Now I am not going to do that again. Thank you to all.”His brief but candid response suggests that the actor may not have been fully comfortable with the content, which had earlier divided the internet.

The reels had triggered a wave of reactions, with some netizens criticising the videos, while many others chose to stand by the actor. Several fans had pointed out his health struggles and urged people to be more empathetic, especially given his recovery journey after suffering a brain stroke in 2020.Many also highlighted that the woman seen in the videos was believed to have been associated with his treatment, adding context to the collaboration.Rahul Roy, who rose to fame with Aashiqui, has been steadily working towards rebuilding his career after his health setback. The actor has already returned to the screen with projects like Walk and has been exploring new opportunities.

A journey marked by resilience

Rahul Roy’s recent appearances come after a major health setback. In 2020, he suffered a brain stroke while shooting for LAC — Live the Battle in Kargil. Following this, he underwent extensive treatment and rehabilitation.In an earlier interview, the actor shared that returning to work post-recovery was challenging, but with consistent therapy, discipline, and the support of loved ones, he has been steadily rebuilding his life.
