Aloe vera likes bright, indirect sunlight. For this, it is often advisable to use a south- or west-facing window, which works well. It can handle some direct sun, but too much harsh light may stress and wilt the leaves if exposed for a long duration with proper hydration. If the plant looks pale, it may need more light; if it looks brown or shriveled, it may be getting too much.
