Jignasha Kulkarni: Preserving India’s Healing Heritage Through Sound, Yoga and Holistic Wellness

As interest in holistic wellness continues to grow, ancient Indian healing traditions are finding renewed relevance among people searching for approaches that address well-being beyond the physical body. At the forefront of this movement is Jignasha Kulkarni, a Naturopathy Doctor, International Sound Healer, Yoga and Marma Therapist, and the Founder of Nada Brahma Academy and Nada Brahma Trust. Through her work, she is helping preserve India’s traditional healing knowledge while presenting it through structured education and contemporary wellness practices.

Based in Rajkot, Gujarat, Jignasha has spent more than 15 years exploring and practising disciplines including Sound Healing, Nada Yoga, Garbha Sanskar, Yoga Therapy and Marma Therapy. Her work reflects an effort to bring together traditional Indian wisdom, yogic philosophy and a modern understanding of wellness.

One of her significant contributions has been the establishment of Nada Brahma Academy, which was created with the objective of developing ethical and knowledgeable Sound Healing practitioners. Under her guidance, the academy has trained more than 1,000 students from India and around the world. Her structured 13-Step Sound Healing Methodology provides practitioners with a systematic framework for learning and applying sound-based practices.

The methodology has reached practitioners and wellness communities across several countries, including India, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, South Africa, Canada, the United States, Australia, London and Madagascar. This international reach reflects Jignasha’s broader objective of taking India’s traditional wellness knowledge to audiences beyond geographical boundaries.

Her learning journey has been influenced by several teachers and practitioners, including Master Satyabrat, Dr. Chintan Dalal, Dr. M. M. Gore, Dr. Bhole and Dr. Prakash Tipre. She has also drawn inspiration from spiritual masters and teachers whose work has shaped her understanding of meditation, yoga, consciousness and holistic well-being.

Jignasha’s contribution extends beyond personal wellness practice into research and international representation. She presented research on Scientific Garbha Sanskar at the International AYUSH Conference in Dubai, where she also conducted an international Sound Healing session. Her work has additionally been associated with programmes involving the Embassy of India in Antananarivo, Madagascar, providing an opportunity to represent India’s traditional healing practices on an international platform.

Another notable chapter in her professional journey involved her role as a Sound Therapist during a water birth at Fakeeh University Hospital, Dubai. Her approach incorporated Sound Healing and Mantra Therapy to support a mother during labour and received appreciation from Dr. Mohammad Agha. The experience reflects her interest in exploring how traditional practices can be incorporated into different wellness settings.

Education remains central to Jignasha’s work. She has conducted workshops at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, where her methodology received appreciation and contributed to the introduction of Sound Healing within extracurricular learning initiatives. Her efforts demonstrate her belief that traditional knowledge can remain relevant when it is documented, taught responsibly and shared with future generations.

She is also the co-author of the upcoming book Mastering Nada Yoga with Singing Bowls: The Nada Brahma Method™, which presents a structured approach to Sound Healing and Nada Yoga. The publication is intended to serve students, therapists, yoga practitioners and wellness professionals seeking a comprehensive framework for learning these practices.

Through Nada Brahma Trust, her social initiatives extend to communities and organisations working with women, children, senior citizens, orphanages, old-age homes, gaushalas and expectant mothers. Programmes involving Scientific Garbha Sanskar and Sound Healing reflect her commitment to using her knowledge in service of wider communities.

Jignasha Kulkarni’s journey is ultimately rooted in preservation, education and responsible practice. By creating structured learning systems, conducting research, engaging with international communities and supporting social initiatives, she is helping give India’s traditional healing heritage a contemporary platform.

Her work demonstrates how ancient knowledge can continue to evolve while retaining its cultural roots. Through her dedication to Sound Healing, Nada Yoga, holistic wellness and education, Jignasha Kulkarni has emerged as a distinctive voice in India’s wellness landscape and a deserving honouree in The Popular Story’s Iconic Personalities of the Year 2026.
