'I’m shocked to see this technology in India... you make my life so my easier here': Polish woman tries Blinkit's photo printing service in India, can't believe her pictures arrive in 21 minutes

Ordering groceries or snacks on Blinkit is nothing new for people in India. But what if you could get your photographs printed and delivered to your doorstep in less time than it takes to finish a cup of tea? That’s exactly what surprised Polish woman Dominika Patalas-Kalra when she discovered Blinkit’s photo printing service. She shared her experience in an Instagram video, saying she hadn’t expected to find such a service on an Indian quick-commerce app.For Dominika, the biggest surprise wasn’t just that she could order prints online. It was that they could reach her home in around 21 minutes.

Polish woman discovers photo printing on app

While browsing Blinkit, Dominika came across the option to print photographs and decided to give it a try. The service offered different formats, including large prints, album-size pictures, square photos and Polaroid-style prints. Users could also order document prints and passport photographs. She ordered three photographs in different formats and was surprised by the estimated delivery time. Just 21 minutes, according to her video. When the package arrived, she opened it to check the prints. And the results seemed to impress her just as much as the delivery speed.Dominika examined the different photographs and praised their quality, saying she was shocked by how good they looked. She also revealed that the order had cost her around ₹100.For someone who hadn’t even realised the service was available, it was quite a find.

‘India is digitally advanced’

Dominika’s experience prompted her to talk about how technology and delivery services have made everyday life easier in India. In her Instagram post, she expressed surprise at the range of services available through Indian apps. She also joked that the convenience was making her lazier, a feeling many people who rely on quick-commerce platforms might recognise. From getting groceries delivered in minutes to ordering everyday essentials without stepping outside, these apps have changed how people shop. Photo printing is another service that some users may not know they can access through the same platforms. And for anyone who needs a few photographs in a hurry, being able to order them from home can save a trip to a photo studio.

Social media reacts to her discovery

Dominika’s video drew reactions from people who were quick to point out how useful such services have become in India.“Convenience at its peak right now in India,” one user commented.Another shared their own experience, writing, “I have been using it for the last two years, and it is really helpful.”A third user joked, “Print is an old option, and ambulance is new,” referring to the growing range of services being added to quick-commerce platforms. For Dominika, though, it was a simple discovery that left an impression. She had gone looking through an app and stumbled upon a service she didn’t expect to find. The fact that her photographs arrived at her doorstep in about 21 minutes was the icing on the cake.
