Police say Cher‘s son was arrested on Friday after acting belligerently at a New Hampshire private high school, of which he has no association.Elijah Allman, was charged with four misdemeanors: two counts of simple assault, criminal trespass and criminal threatening. Allman, whose father was the late Gregg Allman, was also charged with a violation of disorderly conduct, which is illegal in the state but not considered a crime.
Police release statement on Elijah Allman
At about 7 p.m. that day, Concord police responded to reports that Allman was disturbing people in the dining hall of St. Paul’s School. After charging Allman, police said he was released on bail as his case works through the court system. Attorney information for Allman was not available in court records.An investigation is ongoing.
Elijah hospitalised for overdose
Elijah last made headlines in June 2025 after he was rushed to hospital following an overdose. At the time, authorities were reportedly called to the residence due to erratic behaviour. Law enforcement sources said drugs were later discovered inside the property.The incident occurred roughly two months after his wife, Marieangela King, filed for divorce, bringing an end to their 13-year marriage.
Cher files for son’s conservatorship
In December 2023, Cher sought a conservatorship over her son, stating in court documents that he was “substantially unable to manage his own financial resources due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues.” She also alleged that Marieangela had been preventing Elijah from accessing necessary mental health and substance abuse treatment.Cher ultimately dismissed the conservatorship petition at the end of 2024.
