In a recent update, Delhi Airport has issued a fresh travel advisory amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The international air travel out of India is beginning to feel the ripple effects. Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi has warned of possible disruptions to westbound international flights, urging travellers to stay informed and plan ahead.Passenger Advisory issued at 11:00 hrs, released by Delhi International Airport authorities, mentions, “Due to the ongoing political developments in the Middle East, westbound international flights may face delays or schedule adjustments. Passengers are strongly encouraged to contact their respective airlines for the latest flight information before heading to the airport. For real-time updates, please visit our official website: www.newdelhiairport.inWe sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation during this period. Please rely solely on official communication channels for verified information and updates regarding the situation.” Given the current situation, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in India, has also issued advisories asking airlines to avoid up to 11 Middle Eastern airspaces. These countries are Iran, Israel, Lebanon, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait and Qatar.
