In a recent interview, Arshad Warsi dropped a strong hint that he will work with Akshay Kumar on his next project, widely expected to be ‘Golmaal 5’.
Hint about working with Akshay Kumar
Warsi spoke warmly about his bond with Akshay Kumar and confirmed they are teaming up once more after ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. Although he did not officially name the film, his comments strongly suggest ‘Golmaal 5’. He said in an interview with Pinkvilla, “We are doing another film together. Abhi kaam shuru hoga. Badi mazeydaar film hai. (The work will begin now, it’s a very fun film.) Let’s see. It will be announced now.” Reports have also indicated that Akshay may appear in a surprising role, possibly as the antagonist opposite Ajay Devgn, adding a fresh twist to the franchise’s signature chaos.
Update on ‘Asur’ Season 3
During the same conversation, Warsi addressed the future of the hit psychological thriller series ‘Asur’, in which he plays Dhananjay Rajpoot. He explained that the third season requires deep research, so the team is moving carefully. Scripts are reportedly ready, and discussions about schedules are underway. “It is very interesting. They’re now working on the dates, and hopefully we will start shooting soon,” he shared. The update reassures fans that the dark crime drama is progressing, even if production has taken longer than expected.
‘Golmaal 5’ and upcoming projects
‘Golmaal 5’ is expected to bring back familiar faces from the franchise, including Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, and Kunal Kemmu, along with several veteran comic actors.
