PEOPLE reported that the reality TV star had earlier filed for a motion to shift her case to private arbitration. U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman was the one to reject the request and shift McSweeney’s case to federal court.It was cited in the report that the defendants had ‘waited too long’ and had filed the request ‘too late’, as per legal requirements.
