The ‘Student of the Year’ actress added a distinct “desi” touch to her appearance at the prestigious London stage. In a move that resonated deeply across social media platforms, Alia began her presentation in Hindi. As she stepped up to present the award for Best Film Not in the English Language, Alia Bhatt surprised the audience by opening in Hindi.“Namaskar! Agla award ek aisi film ke liye hai, jo angrezi mein nahi hai,” which translates to “Greetings! The next award is for a film that is not in English,” Alia stated. She then playfully added, “Don’t reach for the subtitles just yet. I was only saying in Hindi that the next award is for a film not in the English language.”

The gesture didn’t just win over the live audience; it sparked a wave of support back home. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, known for her vocal support of her peers, took to Instagram on Monday to share the clip. Tagging Alia, Samantha simply added a white heart emoji.
This isn’t the first time the ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ star has backed Bhatt. Samantha previously defended Alia during the release of ‘Jigra,’ calling her a “tigress” and praising her “feisty” performance and the high standards she sets for the industry.
