Washington, D.C.: Former President of the United States Donald Trump caused new controversy with provocative statements regarding global relations, claiming that a number of world leaders are keenly looking for trade deals in expectation of his possible return to the White House.
In a campaign-style address the other day, Trump said that foreign nations now are more submissive and deferential, supposedly bending over backwards to suck up to him because they expect that a change of American leadership could take place in 2024. In a decidedly blunt statement, he described their actions as “kissing my ass,” invoking a marked change from the Obama administration’s diplomacy style.
Under Trump, the world leaders are reportedly keen to once again establish strong trade relations with the United States under his style of leadership, which he defined as tough, patriotic, and uncompromising. He highlighted that during his last administration, America had more respect in the world and made deals that focused on American interests.

Trump’s comments come as tensions in global trade patterns continue to rise and speculation about his political return in the 2024 presidential election continues to grow.
