Actress Rosanna Arquette has voiced strong criticism against Quentin Tarantino’s frequent use of the n-word in films like ‘Pulp Fiction,’ deeming it ‘racist and creepy.’ She argues Tarantino has received an unwarranted ‘hall pass’ for this language. This sentiment echoes concerns previously raised by filmmaker Spike Lee, who also condemned Tarantino’s perceived obsession with the word.

Rosanna Arquette, who is best known for her roles in ‘Desperately Seeking Susan’, ‘The Whole Nine Yards’, and ‘Crash’, has recently opened up about some questionable terms that were used in ‘Pulp Fiction.’ The star criticized Quentin Tarantino and how he actively used the n-word in some of his old classics, calling the action, simply racist.’

While talking to The Times about her career in the film industry, Rosanna Arquette shared her experience working on ‘Pulp Fiction.’ While she praised the film’s cultural significance, she added that she does not appreciate the constant use of the N-word.Arquette mentioned that the filmmaker has received a “hall pass” because of the film. She added during the interview that she “cannot stand that he has been given a hall pass. It’s not art, it’s just racist and creepy.” Arquette is not the only one to call out the filmmaker for using the n-word in his films.Spike Lee is another actor who has actively condemned Tarantino for using the n-word in his films on multiple occasions. While talking to Variety about the matter, he shared that while he himself uses the word within its capacity, he believes that Tarantino is “obsessed” with the word itself.

Premise of ‘Pulp Fiction’

The iconic 1997 film has become a cult classic over the years. It is based on two gangsters, Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield, who work for one of the city’s most renowned mobsters. They are sent on a mission to retrieve a mysterious suitcase for their boss. The non-linear crime film stars John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson, as well as Uma Thurman in the lead roles.
