Second on the list is ‘L2: Empuraan’ (2025) with Rs 265–268 crore. Third on the list is ‘Manjummel Boys’ (2024) with a collection of Rs 242 crore. Then comes Mohanlal‘s ‘Thudarum’ (2025) with Rs 235 crores. Fifth was ‘2018’ (2023) an survival thriller which earned Rs 177 crores.

How these films captured hearts worldwide

These films connected with audiences through their stories. Each film, a unique offering—be it a thriller, an action-packed adventure, or a poignant drama—managed to stand apart. Despite their Kerala settings, viewers from diverse cultures found a strong connection to these movies. The success of these films leaned heavily on the acting, the music, and the directors.
