Zendaya opens up about the fast pace of ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 as the series heads toward its long-awaited return in April. Speaking at the premiere of her new film ‘The Drama,’ the actor said the shoot felt unusually compressed and moved so quickly that it seemed to pass in a blur. She also shared that she has already seen some footage from the new season and is feeling hopeful about the final result.

In comments reported by Variety, Zendaya described the production as intense from start to finish. “Gosh, it was a whirlwind. I did what I do in eight months in, like, four months,” she said. She added, “It was like trying to get eight episodes in at once. It just flew by me.”
The two-time Emmy winner, who plays Rue, also said she has gotten an early look at the new season. “I’ve seen a little bit,” she said. “I’m excited. I hope it turns out beautifully.” Her update comes more than four years after season 2 wrapped and as anticipation around the show continues to build.
‘Euphoria’ Season 3 release date and cast
The third season is set to premiere on HBO on April 12. Returning cast members include Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Colman Domingo, Eric Dane, and Maude Apatow. The new episodes will also introduce fresh faces, including Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Eli Roth, and Sam Trammell.Creator Sam Levinson previously shared story details during an HBO Max presentation in December 2025. He said Rue will be “south of the border in Mexico, in debt to Laurie, trying to come up with some very innovative ways to pay it off.” He also revealed that Cassie and Nate get married, while Cassie is “very addicted to social media and envious of what appears to be the big lives that all of her high school classmates are living at this point in time.”The new season also places Jules in art school, Maddy at a talent agency in Hollywood, and Lexi working as an assistant to a showrunner. It marks the show’s first season since the 2023 death of Angus Cloud. Production began in February 2025 as the series prepared for its April return.
