Akshay Kumar says he feels inferior in front of educated people

On the recent episode of his reality show ‘Wheel of Fortune’, Akshay Kumar was interacting with a highly educated contestant named Sonali and praised her for the same. The actor stated that they sometimes feel very small in front of those who have attained great education and hold multiple educational degrees.IANS quoted him saying, “Koi bhi insaan, khaaskar mujh jaisa jo zyada padha likha nahi hai, main kabhi kabhi bahut chhota mehsoos karta hoon aap jaise logon ke saamne (Any person—especially someone like me who isn’t very educated—sometimes feels very small in front of people like you).”The ‘Khiladi’ actor added, “Kabhi kabhi main sochta hoon mujhe padhna chahiye. Ab mehsoos hota hai ki kaash main padha hota. Lekin ab jab padhna chahta hoon tab bhi nahi padh sakta, kyunki mujhe padhna achha hi nahi lagta, bas itni si baat hai (Sometimes I feel like I should study. Now I realize that I wish I had been educated. But even when I want to study now, I can’t—because I simply don’t enjoy it. That’s all there is to it).”He further shared about his wife Twinkle Khanna being a writer and said, “Meri patni lekhak hai, woh kitabe likhti hai. Ek nahi, do nahi, teen nahi, chaar likh chuki hai aur ab ek aur likh rahi hai. Aap vishwas nahi karenge, maine ek bhi kitab nahi padhi hai (My wife is a writer; she writes books. Not one, not two, not three—she has already written four and is now working on another. You won’t believe it, but I haven’t read even a single book).”He added, “Jab bhi main padhne baithta hoon, pata nahi kya hota hai, aankhon se aansu nikalne lagte hain (Whenever I sit down to read, I don’t know what happens—tears start flowing from my eyes).”Akshay Kumar’s revelation came after he introduced the contestant and also mentioned the multiple degrees she is holding. He concluded his interaction, saying, “Main bas yeh kehna chahta hoon ki padho, padhna bahut zaruri hai. Mujh jaise ko follow mat karo, Sonali jaise logon ko follow karo (I just want to say study; reading is very important. Don’t follow someone like me; follow people like Sonali).”
