Court records show Kardashian and Jenner were ordered to file unredacted versions of the agreement after Ray J opposed the sealing request. The legal dispute began in October 2025, when Kardashian and Jenner sued Ray J. They alleged that he defamed them by claiming the mother-daughter pair was being examined by federal authorities. Ray J’s secret 2023 deal claims
Ray J later filed a countersuit, alleging that Kardashian and Jenner breached a confidential 2023 agreement connected to the sex tape dispute. He claimed the deal required him to remain silent about the tape. He also alleged that he received $6 million under that agreement.In the countersuit, Ray J claimed Kardashian and Jenner violated the deal by discussing the tape in an episode of their Hulu show. The Kardashian family has not confirmed the alleged $6 million payment. Kardashian and Jenner then asked the court to keep the agreement and related documents private, citing confidential and personal information. Ray J objected to that request, and the judge ruled in his favor on the sealing issue.
