Ravi Mohan has now addressed the controversy surrounding his separation from estranged wife Aarti Ravi and his association with singer Keneeshaa Francis.The issue gained momentum after Ravi Mohan and Keneeshaa began appearing together in public following his separation announcement. Social media speculation intensified, with many users alleging that Keneeshaa played a role in the breakdown of the marriage.Aarti Ravi also added to the controversy by stating that she had not been informed in advance about Ravi’s separation announcement. Ravi, on the other hand, later accused her of causing him severe emotional distress over several years.
Keneeshaa Francis announces her exit from Chennai
The controversy took a dramatic turn when Keneeshaa announced that she was stepping away from Chennai, social media, and her professional commitments. In a deeply emotional Instagram statement, she wrote, “Dear all, I have said more than I should and could and most of it was unnecessary as well. I walked into this story with love. I walk out of it with silence. Some places become so consumed by noise, ego, judgment and manufactured narratives that goodness no longer has room to breathe there. And when that happens, even love begins to feel unwelcome. I have given pieces of myself trying to protect a human being the world had already decided a story for. But I now understand something very clearly – in a world addicted to spectacle, kindness rarely stands a chance against chaos.”She added, “To the public, the cinema industry, the commentators, the people who love him, dislike him, defend him, mock him, or claim ownership over his life – he is now all yours. There will be no more explanations. No more defending. No more fighting battles that were never mine to carry in the first place. I was stupid to think that good people needed a chance to live and support in that realm is the best one can do. But I understand, that this place is only for liars, cheaters, manipulators and life extorters. And so, I release him with peace, with love, and with complete detachment. I release all my responsibilities that were signed up for as well.” Keneeshaa further wrote, “I only wish the world had allowed me to show what genuine love, loyalty and softness could have done. But perhaps this generation no longer trusts softness. Perhaps destruction is easier to digest than devotion. Perhaps people will always choose narratives built from emotion over truths built from sacrifice. But, there you go. You guys got what you wanted. So today, I stop resisting it. I stop trying to prove goodness in rooms committed to misunderstanding it. I’ve left Chennai, I give up. I give up on my music, my therapy and all that concerned me for the life I lived this far. Man can break what God creates I guess.”
Keneeshaa Francis denies breaking a family
Before posting her farewell message, Keneeshaa had uploaded and later deleted two videos addressing the controversy. In those videos, she denied claims that she was responsible for the collapse of Ravi Mohan’s marriage and explained that she first knew him in a professional capacity.She said, “I disconnected from my assignment in therapy and became a friend. Ravi Mohan is not a child. He knows whom to talk to and how to live his life.”The backlash intensified after Ravi and Keneeshaa attended a wedding together and after she posted a video from her performance at Meenkulathi Bagavathi Temple, where Ravi was seen cheering for her and embracing her after the event.
Ravi Mohan explains why he has stopped acting
During the press conference in Chennai, Ravi Mohan revealed that he has put his acting career on hold until his divorce is legally finalised and the online abuse comes to an end.As quoted by Economic Times, the ‘Parasakthi’ actor stated, “Until my divorce comes through, I will not act. I am not able to. Whenever I get my divorce, my life will be normal again. Whenever this cyberbullying stops, I will return.”Ravi said the past two years have had a severe emotional impact on him. He explained that he does not feel mentally ready to work while his private life remains the subject of constant scrutiny. He also became emotional while speaking about Keneeshaa’s decision to leave Chennai, saying that public hostility had effectively “sent her away.”
Ravi Mohan’s allegations and Khushbu Sundar ’s response
During the same interaction, Ravi Mohan made a series of serious allegations against Aarti Ravi and her family. He claimed he had endured humiliation for years and said he entered the marriage against his parents’ wishes. He also alleged, “They are not letting me meet my sons. My sons are being assisted by bodyguards. I entered marriage against the will of my parents. I am paying the price now for doing that. In fact, I slit my wrists and still showed up at the shoot the next day. That has been my commitment.”He further stated, “From day one, I have been living a hellish life. They even did black magic. Now they are using PR groups (I don’t want to name them) to cyberbully me. I am dying slowly, but before I die, I will finish everyone. I started hurting my hand. I can’t live without my children.”Ravi also referred to an “idly nadigai (actress)” and said, “That actress ruined my family. She has no moral right to speak about me.”Following these remarks, many social media users speculated that he was referring to Khushbu Sundar, who has openly supported Aarti Ravi. Khushbu responded on X, writing, “Some are just hell bent to prove their DNA.
