Wealthy rancher Tom Weaver makes a formal offer in the finale, but Kayce ultimately turns it down.“My family’s had this land for almost 150 years,” Kayce says. “A lot of blood, pain, and heartache came with it. Lord knows I’ve had my share.” Standing in the shadow of the house where Monica passed and looking at the remnants of the barn fire, he acknowledges the darkness that has hung over the property before concluding, “But come spring, grass’ll grow. Calves’ll start hitting the ground. This ranch will be full of life again.“Inspired by Garrett’s love of horses, Kayce announces plans to turn East Camp into an equine therapy centre for veterans, a decision his son Tate warmly welcomes.

After being offered a job in Washington DC, she accepts, but her reluctance to leave is palpable throughout the finale. Her fellow marshals, Cal, Belle and Kayce, all make their case for her to stay, with Cal telling her, “Just make sure you’re running toward something you want, not away from something you don’t.”By the episode’s end, she is willing to miss her flight to help chase down a lead, suggesting that a return in Season 2 is not out of the question.
Who is trying to kill Thomas Rainwater ?
Thomas Rainwater, chairman of the Confederated Tribes of Broken Rock, has spent the entire season dodging assassination attempts while fighting to protect the reservation from drugs, toxic waste and the development of a rare earth mine. In the finale, his car is ambushed by armed hitmen on the way to a high-stakes meeting with a senator.Rainwater and his team escape and take shelter at East Camp, but the danger follows them there. A group of masked shooters descends on the ranch in a brutal confrontation that ends with Rainwater narrowly being saved by Tate, who shoots an assassin. Kayce is visibly shaken by his son’s involvement. “I thought I could break our family’s cycle of violence, but it always ends up in a familiar place,” he says.Suspicion initially falls on Nathan Irons, a Broken Rock council member who has clashed repeatedly with Rainwater. Irons is later found dead in what appears to be a suicide, but Rainwater is not convinced. “If Irons is involved, he did somebody else’s bidding,” he says. His doubts prove well-founded when the autopsy reveals defensive wounds and no powder burns on Irons’ hands, strongly suggesting he was murdered.

The investigation leads the marshals to a suspicious ranch hand who made a call before the attack, but when Cal and Belle visit his home, they find him dead, too. Parked outside is Jeb, the foreman who works for Tom Weaver, and as he drives away, two shooters open fire on Cal and Belle. The episode cuts away before their fate is revealed.
What happens at the very end of ‘Marshals’ Season 1?
The finale’s final and most chilling scene brings everything together. Tom arrives at East Camp with his daughter Dolly and offers to take Tate to Texas for a fishing trip. Kayce, concerned for his son’s safety following the shootout, agrees and watches Tate board Tom’s private jet. As the jet prepares to depart, Jeb arrives on the tarmac and tells Tom quietly, “It’s handled, sir.”Back at East Camp, Kayce rides the land with Dolly, completely unaware that he has just handed his son over to the man who has apparently been financing the violence around Broken Rock all along.The finale leaves viewers with several urgent questions heading into Season 2.
