Kangana Ranaut plays a brave nurse in ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’, inspired by the true story of hospital staff at Mumbai’s Cama and Albless hospitals who saved nearly 400 patients during the 26/11 terror attacks. Directed by Manoj Taparia, the film releases on June 12th alongside three other major releases.

Kangana Ranaut returns to the big screen with a distinct role in ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’, portraying a nurse in the upcoming film. Earlier, the motion poster showed her walking through fire with a scarred and bloodied face, hinting at an intense storyline. Now, the makers have released the trailer, revealing that the film is based on the courage and resilience of hospital staff during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ uncovers an untold chapter of 26/11

In the trailer, Kangana can be seen risking her life to save people in the hospital. It also shows how an independent woman balances her family responsibilities alongside her professional duties. The trailer highlights the importance of nurses in the healthcare system and the rudeness they often face from patients’ families. Most importantly, it portrays the story of a few brave nurses who put their lives on the line to save patients during the 26/11 terrorist attack.The film is a true-story-inspired film that uncovers a lesser-known chapter of the 26/11 attacks. It focuses on the dedicated staff of Mumbai’s Cama and Albless hospitals, who risked everything to save close to 400 patients during one of India’s darkest days. Despite being surrounded by terror, they held their ground and fulfilled their responsibilities without hesitation.

‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ is scheduled to release in cinemas on June 12th, though it will face tough competition. Three other films—Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Main Wapas Aaunga’, Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘Governor: The Silent Savior’, and Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’—are also arriving on the same date.

The film is both directed and written by Manoj Taparia. The film features Kangana in the lead, supported by a strong cast that includes Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Amruta Namdev, Esha Dey, Priya Berde, Asha Shelar, Suhita Thatte, Rasika Agashe, Aditya Mishra, and Zahid Khan, all playing important roles.
