On Friday afternoon, ‘Dhurandhar’ star Ranveer Singh went to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital to visit Salman Khan‘s father, Salim Khan, and check on his health. A clip going viral on social media caught him driving up to the hospital gates.
Ranveer Singh visits hospital
Ranveer isn’t the first Bollywood star to visit Salim Khan at the hospital. Earlier, Shilpa Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, and Javed Akhtar had also stopped by the hospital to check on Salim Khan’s condition. Additionally, Aamir Khan visited the hospital on Thursday night with his girlfriend, Gauri.
Salim Khan on ventilator
Salim Khan, admitted to the hospital on February 17, is reportedly receiving ventilator support. On Wednesday, Dr. Jalil Parkar updated the veteran screenwriter’s health, confirming a minor brain hemorrhage that required a routine procedure. “He was having jerks and his blood pressure was high. We treated him. We had to put him on a ventilator so that he would not worsen. It wasn’t because he was critical. We did the investigations that were required. We have done a small procedure on him. I will not go into its details. He is fine. He is stable. He has been shifted to the ICU. He is doing quite well. Age is a factor, I understand. That is why the process of recovery will take time,” he said.
Salman Khan demands privacy
Reports indicate that Salman is unhappy with Hospital doctors and has instructed them not to share updates on Salim Khan’s health with the media. The family reportedly seeks privacy and aims to prevent speculation about Salim’s condition.A source close to the family told Variety India, “Health is a private matter. Ideally, no updates should be shared with the media and any communication should be left entirely to the family, if and when they choose to address fans and well-wishers. Salman and his family were displeased with the doctor’s public statement and have clearly conveyed to the authorities that they do not want any further details disclosed.”
