'Dhurandhar - The Revenge: Is Emraan Hashmi playing the villainous 'Bada Sahab'? Social network platform 'spoilers' leaked - Reports
Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ returns with Ranveer Singh as Hamza, seeking vengeance after Rehman Dakait’s death. A Letterboxd listing reveals Emraan Hashmi among the cast, sparking rumours he’s the mysterious ‘Bade Sahab’. The Dhurandhar sequel releases March 19, clashing with Yash’s ‘Toxic’ at the box office.

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, directed by Aditya Dhar, is among the most-awaited Indian films of 2026. The first part of ‘Dhurandhar’ became a huge success and quickly turned into a cultural trend. The biggest mystery surrounds a villain known as ‘Bade Sahab.’ While some fans think the name hints at Dawood Ibrahim or Maulana Masood Azhar, the bigger question is who will play him. A recent Letterboxd post, however, may have spoiled it.

‘Dhurandhar 2’ teaser teases revenge in Lyari

The much-awaited sequel is gearing up for a theatrical release on March 19. Earlier this month, fans got their first look through an intense teaser that hinted at Hamza’s (Ranveer Singh) mission for revenge in Lyari after the death of Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna). This time, Hamza’s path crosses with Major Iqbal (Arjun Rampal) and his shifty superior, the shadowy figure known as Bade Sahab.

‘Dhurandhar 2’ cast list on Letterboxd surprises fans

The ‘Dhurandhar 2’ page on Letterboxd features a detailed list of the film’s cast and crew. As reported earlier, many actors from the first part are returning including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Danish Pandor, and Rakesh Bedi, along with several new faces. Among them, Raj Zutshi, who is rumoured to play a Pakistani general, is listed in the cast, as is Yami Gautam, said to make a cameo appearance. However, the biggest surprise is the inclusion of Emraan Hashmi, whose name appears among the main cast, though his role remains undisclosed.

‘Dhurandhar 2’ fans believe Emraan Hashmi is ‘Bade Sahab’

Ever since the update appeared online, fans can’t stop guessing that Emraan might actually be the mysterious Bade Sahab hinted at in the first film. Social media platforms, especially Reddit, are buzzing with excitement and theories about his possible role. One Redditor wrote, “Damn, it’s just Emraan Hashmi’s world, and we are just living in it.” Another added, “Omggg Emraan is a good casting, I always found him talented….watched Haq recently and found him equally good in the movie (Yami was of course magnificent).”

‘Dhurandhar 2’ set for a big box office clash

‘Dhurandhar’, featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead, earned an impressive Rs 1300 crore globally, making it the second-highest-grossing Hindi film ever. Its sequel, slated to release on March 19, is set for a major box office clash with Yash’s action film, ‘Toxic’.
