The buzz around the highly anticipated super hero film ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ has only heightened post the recent test screenings. The film, directed by the Russo Brothers, was reportedly screened for a select audience, who have all come out singing praise of the film. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ BEST Marvel film yetAccording to industry insider @MyTimeToShineH, Marvel Studios recently held a closed-door screening of a pre-reshoots version of the film for studio chief Kevin Feige and select staff. Early reactions to ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ have reportedly been overwhelmingly positive, with some attendees reportedly calling it “the best Marvel movie yet.”‘Avengers: Doomsday’ on par with ‘Avengers: Infinity War’Film commentator Robert Meyer Burnett also weighed in, claiming that audience reactions were on par with 2018’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, widely regarded as one of the studio’s most successful films, which also went on to score USD 2.48 billion at the box office. At the time of its release, it became the first superhero film to cross the billion mark and also set records for the highest worldwide (640 million) and domestic (257.7 million) opening weekends. The film also led up to the box office blockbuster ‘Avengers: Endgame’ which also went on to break box office records and earn an estimated USD 2.799 billion worldwide.‘Avengers: Doomsday’ trailer expected to release this weekThe update comes amid reports that ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will be showcased at CinemaCon 2026 later this week. While it remains unclear whether a trailer will be released publicly, attendees in Las Vegas are expected to be shown exclusive footage.‘Avengers: Doomsday’ cast and releaseIn a notable casting move, Robert Downey Jr, best known for playing Iron Man, will return as the villain, Doctor Doom, aka Victor Von Doom. The returning Avengers cast will include Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Meanwhile other stars cast in the film include, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, and Paul Rudd. New additions to the franchise include Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Simu Liu. Cast members from ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, including Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby, are also set to appear, alongside veteran ‘X-Men’ stars such as Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. Reports have further hinted at appearances by Ryan Reynolds and Hayley Atwell.‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is currently scheduled for release on December 18, with its follow-up, ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, set to arrive on December 17, 2027.
