Bada Mangal is considered an extremely auspicious day, which is mainly observed by the Lord Hanuman devotees. Bada Mangal is also known as Budhwa Mangal. This sacred day holds an immense religious and spiritual significance among Hindus. The day is dedicated to lord Hanuman and devotees worship him with deep devotion and faith. According to Hindu calendar, Tuesday that occurs in the month of Jyeshtha is known as Budhwa Mangal. The first Budhwa Mangal of the year is going to be observed tomorrow, May 5, 2026. Let’s check out the significance:

Bada Mangal 2026: Significance

Bada Mangal is one of the most auspicious days in Hindu religion which is dedicated to worship Lord Hanuman. The day has an immense religious and spiritual significance among Hindus. Bada Mangal refers to the Tuesdays that fall within the month of Jyeshtha and Jyeshtha month also has its own importance according to the Hindu calendar. Tomorrow is the first Bada Mangal, a holy day when people worship Hanuman ji with great devotion and purity. This day is believed to open powerful energy channels for spiritual enlightenment and protection from evil forces. This is also referred to as “Budhwa Mangal,” and it is believed to represent an elderly form of Lord Hanuman (Budhwa means Elder). He provides protection to his devotees, who worship him on this specific day.

8 Bada Mangal in Jyeshtha month:

This time, there will be 8 Budhwa Mangal in the month of May and June because it overlaps with Adhik Maas so this year is considered as special because people will get a chance to experience 8 Bada Mangal in the year 2026 and they can appease Lord Hanuman with their true devotion and deep faith.

Bada Mangal 2026: Puja Rituals

1. Lord Hanuman devotees take a sacred bath after waking up early in the morning. 2. Take a sankalp of observing fast from dawn to dusk to honor Hanuman ji. 3. Clean the space, where you want to perform puja to Lord Hanuman. 4. One must worship Lord Hanuman in the evening because it is believed that he remains busy in Lord Ram’s service during the day time. 5. You should visit the temple and offer coconut, sindoor, chola, jasmine oil, boondi prasad, banana and gud chana to the Lord. 6. Take a wooden plank where you can place the idol of Lord Hanuman or you can place Ram darbar idol or photo. 7. Light a diya in front of the idol with sesame oil and offer him jasmine flowers. 8. Chant mantras dedicated to Lord Hanuman, recite Hanuman chalisa and chant Ram Naam jap that he likes the most. 9. Offer bhog prasad – boondi laddoo, fruits, gud chana to Lord Hanuman and then break your fast with sattvik food.
