Baisakhi is also known as Vaisakhi and the festival is also known as Harvest festival that marks new beginning and fresh start. This is a perfect time for showing gratitude to God, seeking his blessings by visiting the Gurudwara and celebrate togetherness. For farmers, the day holds a great importance because they celebrate the fruits of their hard work on this specific day. According to the history, in 1699, Guru Gobind ji formed the Khalsa path that marks the birth of a Sikh identity. This day also represents equality, courage and selfless service. The day encourages people to begin life with fresh energy and deep faith and seek blessings of the Guru Gobind singh ji.

1. Devotees wakeup early in the morning and take a sacred bath to visit Gurdwara to offer their sincere prayers.2. Nagar Kirtans and Langars are organised by the community. 3. Processions are carried out with immense devotion. 4. People wear bright traditional clothes such as; men wear vibrant turban with traditional kurtas and women wear traditional Punjabi suits with Patiyala salwar or whatever they like to wear. 5. Fairs are organised with food, music and other cultural programs are conducted. 6. People decorate their homes and prepare special Punjabi dishes.
