Bangladesh vs New Zealand 1st ODI Live Score: Catch all the action from the first ODI between Bangladesh and New Zealand in Dhaka with ball-by-ball commentary and a detailed scorecard on TimesofIndia.com.

TOSS: New Zealand have won the toss and have opted to bat vs Bangladesh.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz: Yes, I love to bowl first because it’s a new ground and it’s a new wicket as well. That was a great series for us (against Pakistan) and a lot of our bowlers bowled really well. We have a very good bowling attack, two spinners and three fast bowlers. You never know what kind of a wicket we are playing on (at Mirpur) but it looks like a good surface.

Pitch Report: HD Ackerman is assessing the surface. He mentions that it’s normally very dry but this wicket seems to be nicely paced and the ball will come onto the bat. States that the square boundaries are 58m and 69m respectively and it’s a 79m hit downtown. Reckons that Bangladesh won’t mind chasing because it looks like a good wicket.

Tom Latham: We are gonna have a bat. It looks a reasonably good surface, looks slightly dry and it’s a day game so it will potentially get slower later on. We have got three genuine seamers, a left-armer, and then a few all-rounders. The boys are raring to go. It has been a couple of hot days but we will embrace what Bangladesh has for us.

Teams:

Bangladesh (Playing XI): Saif Hassan, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Litton Das(w), Towhid Hridoy, Mehidy Hasan Miraz(c), Rishad Hossain, Afif Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Nahid Rana, Shoriful Islam

New Zealand (Playing XI): Will Young, Tom Latham(w/c), Henry Nicholls, Nick Kelly, Muhammad Abbas, Dean Foxcroft, Josh Clarkson, Nathan Smith, Blair Tickner, Jayden Lennox, William ORourke
