Chardham Yatra is the most sacred pilgrimage in India. These temples are located in the center of India’s magnificent Himalayas. These sacred shrines are – these sacred shrines are – Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamnotri. Chardham Opening and Closing Dates in 2026:

Char Dham is a profoundly spiritual location that creates a tapestry of devotion, and faith. Each of the four pilgrimage sites—Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath—represents a spiritual turning point that offers pilgrims an opportunity to become closer to God. Every year in April, pilgrims can travel to Chardham shrines to receive darshan. The prominent priests use the Hindu Panchang calendar to calculate the precise dates.

Kedarnath Temple

Kedarnath temple is one of the most sacred places in India, which is devoted to Lord Shiva. The temple is situated in the Rudraprayag region of the Garhwal Himalayas. The temple is a halt on the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand and is located 3,583 meters above sea level. In the serene Himalayan landscape, it draws pilgrims seeking heavenly benefits and a profound spiritual connection.

Badrinath Temple

Badrinath temple is also the most important sacred shrine situated in the Chamoli area of the Garhwal Himalayas at an elevation of 3,133 meters. The temple is purely dedicated to lord Vishnu. The temple draws tourists with its serene atmosphere and breathtaking surroundings. The temple’s stunning architecture and long history make it unique that attracts both tourists and worshippers.

Yamnotri

Yamunotri Temple, a revered Hindu shrine that is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. This sacred place is located amid the Garhwal Himalayas. The Yamuna river, which emerges from the Yamunotri glacier. Because of its historical significance and beautiful ambiance, the temple is especially beloved by the devotees. It provides a spiritual haven in the center of nature.

Gangotri

Gangotri Temple, a well-known Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Ganga. This is situated in the Garhwal Himalayas of the Uttarkashi region. The goddess Ganga is worshipped at Gangotri, which is the birthplace of this sacred river. The shrine holds an immense religious and spiritual importance. Large number of devotees visit the place to seek the blessings.
