Audrey Niffenegger captivated readers with her 2005 illustrated novella The Three Incestuous Sisters, a gothic tale of sibling rivalry set by a lonely seaside house. It follows sisters Ophile, Clothilde, and Bettine, whose lives unravel when stranger Paris arrives, sparking jealousy, love, revenge, sabotage, and tragedy. Despite the provocative title, the story emphasises melodrama over literal incest.
A dream ensemble takes shape
