According to Gulf News, Madhavan said golf made it easier for him to shoot scenes outdoors, even when crowds gathered around. Early in his career, he found it difficult to perform in public with people watching closely, laughing, and passing remarks. Over time, golf helped him develop a calm approach.

He explained that golf is “the only game in the world where you are competing with yourself, not anybody else.”Madhavan added that the sport mirrors acting. He said an actor needs to stay focused and block out distractions, just like a golfer preparing to strike the ball. That mindset helped him remain composed during shoots and improved his performance.
