‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’: CBFC removes word from Mrunal Thakur’s scenes with Siddhant Chaturvedi - Reports
The Central Board of Film Certification recently muted the word ‘b***s’ in two instances from the film ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’, featuring Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi. These edits were made before granting a U/A 13+ certificate.

‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’ opened in theaters today after clearing the Central Board of Film Certification with a U/A 13+ certificate. Just before release, the board muted the word “b***s” twice in the film. Both lines were delivered by Mrunal Thakur’s character, Roshni. One appears in a playful exchange early in the story. The other comes later during a scene where her character speaks about beauty standards. The edits were made before the certificate was issued on February 18. The approved runtime stands at 137 minutes and 41 seconds.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the CBFC removed the word from both the audio and subtitles. The report states that the film does not contain sexual content, apart from a brief mild kiss. It also describes the action as comic in tone with no bloodshed. An industry source told the outlet, “Ideally, a film like this should have been passed with a ‘U’ certificate.” The source added that it could have qualified for a U/A 7+ rating or even a U.The first muted line comes during a lighthearted moment between Siddhant Chaturvedi’s character, Shashank, and Roshni. He asks her what he lacks, and she responds with the censored word. The second instance appears in a more serious scene tied to commentary on beauty norms. Bollywood Hungama also notes an early scene in which Roshni complains about a man she met. The abusive word used in that exchange is not clearly heard in the film as family members are present in the scene.

CBFC certification and film details

The censor certificate was granted two days before the film’s release. Director Ravi Udyawar completed the formalities shortly before the movie hit screens. The film stars Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles and blends romance with light humor.Even with the muted moments, the story stays intact. Audiences in theaters will spot short pauses where the original word was spoken. The changes have fueled debate over how far filmmakers can go with language in movies aimed at families, particularly when the film itself keeps a soft, nonviolent tone.
