While appearing on the latest episode of the podcast ‘Call Her Daddy’, Duff, who is prepping for her tour, opened up about the drama that unfolded after Tisdale’s essay. The singer shared that she was heavily affected after reading the article, adding that it was about people she has known all of her life, and much of it felt untrue. She added, “I felt really sad. I honestly felt really sad. I was pretty, pretty taken aback and felt just, like, sad.”
She further shared, “I have tons of different groups of mom friends because I have four kids. So I think I just was like, whoa, it’s—s to read something that’s not true, and it’s—s on behalf of six women in all of their lives.”

Earlier, only a few days after posting the essay, Duff’s husband took to his social media to share a parody post about it. Matthew Koma took to his stories section and reshared Tisdale’s photo from the essay. He redid the heading and subheading, which simultaneously read: “When You’re The Most Self-Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers” and “A Mom Group Tell All Through A Father’s Eyes.”
