The custom of tossing colors during Holi began when his mother, Yashoda, jokingly suggested that he paint Radha’s face.

Holika Dahan: Holika Dahan is the when Holika tried to kill Prahald thinking she would be safe and Prahlad would burn, she made Prahlad sitting in her lap in the middle of a blazing fire but she burned to death and Prahalad came out alive as Lord Vishnu was protecting him. The day symbolizes the victory over evil. Rangwali Holi or Dhulandi: The day holds a great religious singificance. Rangwali Holi is celebrated next day after Holika Dahan. People enjoy on this day by playing with colors or gulal, splash with water, singing and dancing. This is how Rangwali Holi celebrated across the world where Indian lives.
