Mumbai–Hazur Sahib Nanded Vande Bharat gets faster: What the new schedule means for travellers and pilgrims

Vande Bharat trains are rewriting the way Indians used to travel domestically. In a major boost, Indian Railways has announced plans to revise the schedule of the Mumbai–Hazur Sahib Nanded Vande Bharat Express. With new changes, it will become one of the region’s fastest premium trains. The updated timings will come into effect from May 3, 2026 (as reported by Maharashtra Times and several other media organisations). The main aim is to reduce travel time between the destinations along with improving convenience for pilgrims and travellers travelling between Mumbai and Nanded. The Vande Bharat Express (train numbers 20705/20706) connects Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) with Hazur Sahib Nanded.More about NandedNanded in Maharashtra is among the most significant pilgrimage sites for Sikhs.
