IPL 2026: Youngest. Fastest. Unstoppable! Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Scripts T20 History Yet Again

The wonder kid Vabihav Sooryavanshi is in a beast mode in IPL 2026

The 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi became the youngest player in men’s T20 cricket to reach 1,000 runs, and did so faster than anyone before him – getting there in just 473 balls, eclipsing the previous benchmark set by Mitchell Owen (533 balls) during in whirlwind century knock against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2026.The teenager hammered a breathtaking 36-ball century in IPL 2026- now the third-fastest hundred in league history, behind only Chris Gayle’s iconic 30-ball blitz and his own 35-ball effort from last season. That innings was a statistical storm in itself. Sooryavanshi smashed 12 sixes, the most by an Indian in a single IPL innings, going past the previous mark of 11 jointly held by Murali Vijay and himself. Across IPL history, only a handful of innings have featured more maximums. He is now among a select group of players alongside Abhishek Sharma with multiple IPL knocks featuring 10 or more sixes, while also becoming the first batter to score more than one IPL hundred in under 40 balls.

36-ball hundred – third-fastest in IPL history – Only behind Chris Gayle (30 balls) and his own 35-ball ton
  • Only player with multiple IPL hundreds under 40 balls
