Kolkata Knight Riders produced a commanding all-round display to beat Delhi Capitals and keep their IPL 2026 playoff hopes alive. Chasing 143, KKR recovered from early setbacks through an important partnership between Finn Allen and Cameron Green, with Allen smashing his maiden IPL hundred to power KKR to a comfortable win. After the result, the IPL 2026 points table remains tightly packed with several teams still in contention for the playoffs.

IPL 2026 Points Table after Match 51:

Position Team Mat Won Lost NR Points NRR
1 Sunrisers Hyderabad 11 7 4 0 14 +0.737
2 Punjab Kings 10 6 3 1 13 +0.571
3 Royal Challengers Bengaluru 10 6 4 0 12 +1.234
4 Rajasthan Royals 10 6 4 0 12 +0.510
5 Gujarat Titans 10 6 4 0 12 -0.147

9 Mumbai Indians 10 3 7 0 6 -0.649
10 Lucknow Super Giants 10 3 7 0 6 -0.934

Sunrisers Hyderabad continue to lead the standings with 14 points from 11 matches, having won seven and lost four, with an NRR of +0.737. With three league games remaining, they are in a strong position to qualify. Punjab Kings are second with 13 points from 10 matches. They have won six, lost three and had one no result, while maintaining an NRR of +0.571. A couple of more wins could strengthen their playoff chances significantly. Royal Challengers Bengaluru sit third with 12 points from 10 matches, winning six and losing four. Their NRR of +1.234 remains one of the best in the competition and could prove important later in the season. Rajasthan Royals are fourth with 12 points from 10 matches, alongside an NRR of +0.510. They have won six and lost four and remain well placed in the playoff race. Gujarat Titans also have 12 points from 10 games with six wins and four defeats. However, their NRR of -0.147 remains an area of concern. Chennai Super Kings are sixth with 10 points from 10 matches, having won and lost five each. Their NRR currently stands at +0.151. Kolkata Knight Riders climbed to seventh with nine points from 10 games. They have won four, lost five and had one no result, with an NRR of -0.169. Their recent run of form has kept them in contention. Delhi Capitals slipped to eighth with eight points from 11 matches. They have managed four wins and suffered seven defeats, while their NRR has dropped to -1.154. Mumbai Indians are ninth with six points from 10 matches. They have won three and lost seven, with an NRR of -0.649. Lucknow Super Giants remain at the bottom of the table with six points from 10 games, having won three and lost seven. Their NRR stands at -0.934.
