Villarroel, who worked with Kylie from roughly 2015 to 2020, described a casual exchange in the kitchen that unexpectedly became a turning point. Kylie mentioned she needed her laptop, which was upstairs, and Villarroel remembers joking, “I don’t want to go get your laptop.” That offhand reply, she says, was the first time she truly noticed how far their dynamic had shifted: “You know everything about them-you’re with them at all times, good or bad,” she told reporters, explaining that after years together they had become more like friends than employer and employee.She further added, “I remember like it was yesterday… This is like year five,” Victoria explained. “Me and Kylie, obviously, we had a working relationship. But you can’t get so close to a person that you see every single day, and you know everything about and you’re with them at all times, good or bad.
