Match Summary: NZW vs SAW

Chasing a daunting 348, New Zealand lost Suzie Bates early, putting immediate pressure on the hosts. Kerr steadied the innings with a 52-run partnership alongside Georgia Plimmer, but South Africa tightened their grip when New Zealand slipped to 130/4 around the halfway mark. The turning point came through Kerr’s remarkable partnership with Isabella Gaze. The pair added 120 runs in just 81 balls, with Gaze playing a crucial supporting role, scoring a quickfire 68 off 48 deliveries. Kerr brought up her fifth ODI century off 90 balls before accelerating further, striking 23 fours and a six in a masterclass of controlled aggression.Kerr’s 120-run partnership with Gaze came off just 81 balls and shifted the game decisively, with the New Zealand captain getting to her fifth ODI ton off 90 balls and then accelerating.
