The Malayalam action thriller ‘Patriot’, headlined by Mammootty and Mohanlal, recorded a noticeable dip on its second day. The film earned Rs 6.15 crore on Day 2. This marks a 38.5% fall from its opening day collection of Rs 10.00 crore.Despite the drop the film has maintained a steady overall run so far. The two-day India net collection now stands at Rs 16.15 crore. The total India gross has reached Rs 18.73 crore as per Sacnilk.

Worldwide numbers cross 50 crore

‘Patriot’ has performed strongly in overseas markets. On Day 2, the film added Rs 15.00 crore internationally. This pushed its overseas total to Rs 31.50 crore.With both domestic and overseas numbers combined, the worldwide gross has now reached Rs 50.23 crore. The film has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark within just two days.

Occupancy trends show evening growth for ‘Patriot’

The film’s occupancy figures on Day 2 reveal an upward trend as the day progressed. The overall occupancy stood at 43.21% and the morning shows recorded a lower turnout of 25.92%.However, occupancy improved during the afternoon at 42.33%. Evening shows saw a further rise to 50.00%. Night shows peaked at 54.58%.The number of shows reduced from 2,636 on Day 1 to 2,374 on Day 2. This may have also impacted the overall collections.Kerala continues to be the film’s strongest market. On Day 2, the state contributed Rs 5.25 crore to the total. Karnataka followed with Rs 93 lakhs. Tamil Nadu added Rs 45 lakhs.Other regions showed modest numbers. APTG contributed Rs 10 lakhs, while the rest of India added Rs 40 lakhs. The total Day 2 gross across states stood at Rs 7.13 crore.
