Premasis Bhattacharjee’s journey reflects the powerful blend of entrepreneurship and social responsibility. Born in Kolkata, West Bengal, and raised between Kolkata and his ancestral village in Nadia district, his early experiences shaped his strong sense of community values and service to society.
After completing his Bachelor of Arts from Calcutta University, Premasis initially pursued a career in physiotherapy, where he dedicated himself to improving people’s well-being. However, driven by entrepreneurial vision, he later founded SAP Group, emerging as its Founder and Chairman. Under his leadership, the organization expanded into multiple sectors including workforce management, advisory services, infrastructure, interior design, event management, travel, and digital marketing, creating employment opportunities and contributing to economic growth.
Beyond business, Premasis is deeply committed to humanitarian work. In 2011, he founded the Krishnagar Natun Kalipur Cultural & Welfare Society (KNKCWS), through which he supports orphaned children, tribal communities, differently-abled individuals, and residents of old-age homes. His relief initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic further highlighted his dedication to social welfare.
His contributions have earned several recognitions, including the Rashtriya Atal Puraskar, Bengal Business Samman, International Business Icon Award, Rashtriya Padma Bhushan Sammaan, and the International Peace Ambassador Award. In recognition of his achievements and commitment to service, he was also honored with an Honorary Doctorate by the Well Education & Peace Council in 2024.
Premasis has also actively participated in community leadership roles. He served as President of the Rotary Club of Sonarpur (2021–2022) and later became associated with the World Human Rights Protection Commission, further strengthening his involvement in humanitarian initiatives and social advocacy.
Through leadership, compassion, and vision, Premasis Bhattacharjee continues to inspire others with his belief that business success should go hand in hand with meaningful social impact.
