The world lost one of the most iconic and legendary singers of the world. Asha Bhosle had been making music and working in the industry since she was a child, and had worked on more than 12,000 songs over the course of her career. Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92, after facing complications and multiple organ failure. She was admitted to the hospital because of exhaustion and a chest infection, however, passed away a day later. The world is mourning the loss of the legendary playback singer, as many people shared their memories with the star and paid their respects to her through online posts. ‘Dhurandhar’ actor Ranveer Singh took to his account to share a selfie of the two of them along with the caption, “Irreplaceable, incomparable #Ashabhosle.” He also added Om and dove emojis to the post. Veteran star Anupam Kher also shared a video and talked about her, saying, “For over seven decades, she wasn’t just a part of the music industry—she was an era.”‘The Bluff’ actress Priyanka Chopra also took to her social media account and posted an old selfie of herself with the playback singer. She wrote in the post, “There are some losses that feel like losing a piece of your childhood, your memories, your home. Asha ji was that for so many of us. Her voice wasn’t just part of Indian music, it was part of the backdrop of our lives. It played through our homes growing up, through family celebrations, through heartbreaks, through joy, through the quiet and loud moments that became memories before we realized it.”Other stars such as Ameesha Patel, Hrithik Roshan, singer Madhushree, Shatrughan Sinha, Mouni Roy, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Annu Kapoor, and many others also paid their tributes for her.
