Rakesh Bedi plays an important role in Aditya Dhar‘s ‘Dhurandhar’ film franchise. The veteran actor is seen as Pakistani Awami Party leader Jameel Jamali in the movie. Recently, he recalled Ranveer Singh stating that if ‘Dhurandhar 2’ grossed over Rs 1000 crore, Rs 500 crore of that success would be because of Jameel Jamali.

On India Podcasts, Rakesh Bedi shared an anecdote from the sets of ‘Dhuranhdar: The Revenge’. The veteran actor shared that Ranveer Singh took the microphone on the last day of the shoot and praised him in front of everyone. He recalled, “Ranveer said that if the film makes Rs 1,000 crore at the box office, then Rs 500 crore will be because of Rakesh ji.” The actor shared that he tried to downplay Ranveer’s remark; however, Singh expressed that he meant every word he said.
Rakesh Bedi further shared, “What more can a character actor ask for? The director even said he would cry on my last day of shooting—it created an amazing atmosphere throughout the film.”
