‘I’m A Celebrity… South Africa’: Sinitta claims Craig Charles told her to QUIT off-camera

Sinitta has made a stunning claim following her exit from ‘I’m A Celebrity… South Africa’, alleging that Craig Charles told her to quit in scenes that were never broadcast to viewers at home. The 80s pop star, best known for her hit ‘So Macho’, has spoken out after the episode, which left many puzzled by what they saw.

What happened during Sinitta and Craig Charles’s trial

Sinitta and Craig were paired together in the trial, with Harry Redknapp and Mo Farah, and Scarlett Moffatt and Adam Thomas making up the other two duos. The celebrities were tasked with unlocking boxes filled with critters to retrieve a slate, each containing a maths puzzle that would give them the code for the next box.Sinitta struggled to locate the first slate, and Craig was seen repeatedly sighing as she held them both up. Eventually, Sinitta quit the trial without even retrieving the first slate. Ant and Dec had told the campmates that the team finishing last would risk elimination, and as a result, Sinitta and Craig Charles were told to pick who should leave camp. Doing what she described as the honourable thing, Sinitta insisted it should be her, as she had been the one to quit.

What Sinitta claimed Craig Charles said off-camera

However, Sinitta has alleged that it was Craig Charles who encouraged her to quit, in exchanges that were not shown to viewers at home. Viewers only saw Sinitta asking a mostly silent Craig if she should “call it.”Speaking after leaving camp, Sinitta said, “I quit because somebody else was telling me to do it. Even if we came last, I wouldn’t have quit. I’m not a quitter. I quit out of guilt and pressure, not because I’d run out of steam.”She continued, “It was taking me a long time, I admit. But what I had in my ear was, ‘Oh Sinitta, just throw it. I’m standing here like a lemon.’ To me, he gave up. I wish I’d fought for myself at the time.”Sinitta also admitted she regretted calling out “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here” the moment she did it. Sinitta’s exit came shortly after Ashley Roberts was also eliminated from the show following a separate trial.
