Scientists investigated this issue during one more experiment in the Fashion and Textiles journal. It was revealed that velocity plays an important role in this case. When moving slowly, the fabric is not shaken forcefully enough to reach the lower layers. However, fast movements lead to sudden jolts that can remove dust even from very thick materials.
Scientists discovered that a forceful twisting motion, rather than horizontal shaking, is most effective for dislodging dust from fabrics. High-velocity movements, even for short durations, prove more efficient than slow ones for deep cleaning.
