'This place is HOME!': Virat Kohli's latest 'extra special' RCB post goes viral

Star batter Virat Kohli once again proved why he remains the heart of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), leading the team to a second straight IPL title and then celebrating the achievement with an emotional message that quickly went viral.Almost a week after RCB’s five-wicket win over Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2026 final, the former RCB skipper took to social media to reflect on the journey. “Started the season with belief. Ended with back-to-back titles. This team lived every emotion together. The highs, the pressure, the hurdles, and the unwavering support. It feels extra special because… this place is HOME!” he wrote on X. RCB first restricted Gujarat Titans to 155/8 before comfortably chasing the target in 18 overs. Kohli starred with an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls, smashing nine fours and three sixes, including the winning hit that sealed the title. The victory marked RCB’s second consecutive championship after finally ending their long wait for a trophy in 2025. Kohli said the team entered the final with more confidence than a year ago.“I said to a few of the boys that it doesn’t feel like the same pressure as last year,” Kohli said after the final. “We knew what kind of ability we have in the group. We topped the table. There’s a reason why we got here first.”Having represented RCB since the IPL began in 2008, Kohli’s connection with the franchise runs deeper than most player-team relationships. His latest “HOME” message resonated strongly with fans, many of whom have watched him spend his entire IPL career in RCB colours. The veteran batter also spoke about adapting his game despite nearing 38 years of age.“Such is the demand of the sport today. You have these super young players pushing you all the time and asking you to change your game and up the ante,” he said.“It’s an exciting situation because it gives you something to improve on, something to work towards.”For RCB supporters, Kohli’s match-winning knock and heartfelt tribute were the perfect ending to another title-winning season.
