Yash’s highly anticipated upcoming film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ has been making headlines of late, amid speculation about a possible change in its release date, after allegedly facing trouble with its overseas distribution. However, the director Geetu Mohandas herself has confirmed that they are sticking to the originally planned release schedule. The film will be released in theatres worldwide on March 19, 2026. Geetu Mohandas has now dropped a new poster, announcing the teaser release of ‘Toxic’. The teaser of the Yash starrer will arrive on Friday, February 20, at 9:35 am. “9:35 AM | 20.02.2026 #ToxicTeaser,” she captioned. In the new poster the release is also mentioned. “#Toxic In Cinemas Worldwide from 19-03-2026,” the director confirmed. The new poster features Yash clad in an all-black outfit, standing amid the snow, gulping alcohol from the bottle, with blood splattered aross the ground. Check out the poster here.

Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ has been embroiled in speculations, after several reports claimed that the film had trouble with its overseas distribution. A report by The Hollywood Reporter earlier quashed the rumours, after industry insiders revealed, “There is absolutely no truth to the rumours about Toxic being postponed. The film is firmly on track for its March 19 release, and there has been no change whatsoever to the schedule. Promotional activities are strategically lined up, and the team is executing everything as planned.”The Yash starrer will clash with Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, which is releasing on March 19, 2026. Though many films have moved its release date owing to ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, the Yash starrer has no fear of locking horns with the biggie. Starring Yash, the upcoming gangster film also features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles. ‘Toxic’ has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in multiple Indian languages.
